iPhone 6 with 4.5 inch screen poly carbonate coming in 2014

Despite the fact that they always said they would never deviate from their standard iPad size, last year Apple released the iPad Mini.  It wasn’t quite as popular as it maybe should have been but sales were reasonably steady. Following on from that, we’ve had reports of a smaller and cheaper iPhone and we’ve now heard, via Macotakura, a Japanese blog that plans for this have been put off until 2014.

The same blog hints that this new iPhone will be made of polycarbonate rather than the aluminum and glass used or current iPhone models and it will be priced at a reasonable $330. Macotakura have always been pretty accurate with their reports and this one has got the tech world talking.
It’s sad that this new, cheaper iPhone 6 will have a 4.5” screen, larger than Apple have ever gone on a phone before. However, don’t expect it to have the smooth classy look of the iPhone 4S or 5 – it’s going to be chunkier because of the materials it will be made from although it could wind up being a far more durable model.
The report from Macotakura also talks briefly about the iPhone 5S, said to be the next model to be released by Apple. They say this will incorporate a dual-flash LED module, with the 2 flash modules one on top of each other to the right of the main camera lens.  The iPhone 5S is due for release sometime in the next few months.
